It’s going around the internet like crazy and fans and geeks alike are eating it up. Many are trying to find the holes, and they typically fail.  I think it’s one of the most genius geeky theories to come about, if not THE most.

In a nut shell it explains how every Pixar story exists within the same universe, and on the same timeline. It’s a giant connecting arc that gives reasons for why monsters can talk, why humans leave Earth at one point, and how a giant war between humans, animals, and artificial intelligence begins. When I first heard this theory, and found it spelled out online, it blew my mind away. Made me wish I had thought of it.

My question, however, involves the shorts. Has that one been addressed? We do have clouds with faces, Alien abductions, Kids cleaning up stars on other planets, etc etc. How do the Pixar shorts play into this ambitious theory?  Any answers? I’d love to hear them.  In the meantime, watch the video below to get a really good synopsis of the entire theory. 12 minutes in length, but totally worth it.

And if you’re having difficulties wrapping your head around the time paradox, uncertain how it could all work, just remember the words uttered by Doctor Who...”People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear non-subjective viewpoint, it’s more like a big bowl of wibbly wobbly timey wimey… stuff.”
