Rob Liefeld Cries Some More…

Who knew that a simply comic book reader/blogger like could get at the heart strings of an “accomplished” writer/artist?  I’m usually not a mean person, but there are certain people out there simply tick me off due to their relentless attitude which is dictated by their bitter attitudes towards others.

Today on Twitter, Rob Liefeld took some time out of his busy schedule to tweet his feelings about his current career change…

Now I’m not saying DC Comics is this all-perfect company that always treats their employees right, but I do get annoyed by people’s inabilities to move on.  Certainly Liefeld is a man who’s capable of doing that right?

Basically, with my already existing hatred for Liefeld as an author and artist, I simply had enough of his rants and dared to take a jab at him.  This was the result…

Isn’t that sweet?  I’m important enough to Rob that he decided to respond to me!  Little ol’ me!  I probably took it a bit far with my 3rd post, but I honestly didn’t care.  This was one of those moments where I felt the need to put a “celebrity” in his place.  I’m sure he feels no sense of defeat, and that’s fine by me, but I certainly hope this guy knows he’s probably one of the more less-liked creators in the comic book industry.

Moving on to better things, like Gail Simone, Geoff Johns, and Scott Snyder, the REAL talent within DC’s creator regime…

    It happened something similar here in Italy. A politician published a tweet about soccer, and a boy wrote to him that he didn’t understand anything about soccer. The politician replied that what that boy said had not any value, because that boy had only 48 followers. Everybody here in Italy got furious with the politician because of this statement, because even a person with 0 followers can say something right and smart, the number of the followers doesn’t mean anything. That boy gained over 2k followers in solidarity with him, and that politician got a lot of furious tweets. Here’s the whole story, you can read it with Google translate:;
    Liefeld wrote to you exactly the same thing, but it seems that the thing passed unnoticed.

      The difference here is….no one really cares about Liefeld enough to send him nasty tweets.

      • wwayne says:

        Exactly. Most people do not care about him enough to read his tweets, and the few people who read them became so accustomed to his blunders that they don’t notice and underline them anymore. Thank you for your reply! : )

  2. Anthony says:

    without Liefeld, it more or less still sucks….

    • Heretic says:

      Incorrect Anthony. The Batman titles are fantastic, Wonder Woman is rocking it, and Swamp Thing is an absolute gem within DC’s regime of titles. To be honest, however, Liefeld’s time at DC within the last few years has been embarrassing, as well as a low-rating duration. DC needed to get rid of him in order to get back on track to more consistent writing and art. Good riddance to that hack.
